introducing the make it your own vibe initiative
I consider myself very blessed to have been able to provide a living for myself and my family doing what I love. I started drawing clothes at the age of five and actually designing custom gowns at the age of fifteen. I loved fashion at a very early age. The only thing I loved more than creating clothing was creating art. I've always joked about showing up for school only for the art classes. We were very fortunate to have wonderful art teachers in the elementary through high schools in Akron, Ohio where I grew up.
As an adult I have made my living working as both a fashion designer and graphic artist. I've designed many types of apparel, however, I am mostly known for the items that combine my love of both art and fashion - the leather wearable art I have been designing since 1982.
My wearable art has always been a way to express my own passions and beliefs. With the Make it Your Own Vibe initiative I want to give others the opportunity to help create something that expresses who THEY are. Not only that, but to give them a chance to support organizations that address causes they are passionate about. I believe that, together, we can use our creativity to help create a better world. ~ Marva G. Ballard
How it works
The initiative is driven by Design Parties where people gather together and have fun creating the artwork to appear on their own products. People can also join one of our company hosted parties.
Through the initiative, when there are four or more orders placed at a Design Party, ten percent (10%) of the purchase price of each product is donated to qualifying a nonprofit organization.

Gather your friends around a table or on a Zoom call and have fun designing your own jackets and bags. When you book a Make It Your Own Vibe Design party, you can select to host your party with our without our assistance. If you request assistance, we will your party via Zoom and guide you and your guests through the process of drawing and submitting your designs. Periodically we will host our own Make It Your Own Vibe Zoom Parties. At the parties, we will guide attendees through the process of drawing and submitting their designs. These parties raise funds organizations we support as a company. Please note that attendance will be limited to twelve!
